Voice over

James loves voice over. From conversational commercials to larger-than-life animation characters, he can't get enough. He started working as a voice actor in 2005, since then he has gained valuable experience working with top brands, major studios and world-famous post-production houses.

James has recorded radio and TV commercials for brands such as Volkswagen, Nintendo and The Co-operative Bank, created character voices for Chuggington, Lego: The Hobbit and The Lost Chronicles of Zerzura and provided ADR for TV and film titles including Pride, Death comes to Pemberley and The Railway Times.

James has an incredibly versatile voice and can provide reads ranging from a matey conversational to a direct hard sell. He speaks with a neutral, Standard English accent but can revert to his native Yorkshire as required. James also has a natural ability to create unique character voices suitable for commercial, animation and dramatic productions.
